The Early On Center wiki is a forum for discussion and networking among the many and varied participants in the Early On system throughout Michigan. Though it posts some of the basic information about the Early On Center for Higher Education, the intention of the wiki is to stimulate higher level thinking about the way we do things and how we can do them better - for kids, for families, for providers and for faculty and students in the multiple disciplines involved in early intervention.
Questions are posted that members can respond to and create a dialogue. Updates about the progress of the grant projects at Oakland unversity and Michigan State University are another feature.
The potential is available to connect faculty beyond the limits of geography, so they can learn about what others are using and offer their own experiences with learning strategies and resources, reducing isolation and inertia.
The vision includes connecting student/classroom communities with families and professional communities, so that pre-service learning and the 'real' early intervention world can each benefit from the others ways of knowing.
We invite you to participate ~ please contribute to and glean from what our community has to offer.
