Caregiver Coaching Experiences of Early Interventionists in Michigan > Recorded Webinar


Join Sarah Douglas, PhD., Michigan State University, as she shares her research findings from the 2016 Early On Faculty Grant.  Caregiver coaching is a recommended practice in early intervention.  This session will highlight a mixed-methods study to understand early interventionists' experiences and perceptions of coaching caregivers.  Survey, interview and coaching log data from her study of early interventionists in Michigan will be presented.

  • Participants will be able to identify the importance of family centered practices, including caregiver coaching and name benefits of family centered practice.
  • Participants will be able to identify the barriers early interventionists face when implementing caregiver coaching.
  • Participants will be able to list policies and practices that can support caregiver coaching in early intervention.
